Top 25 football/soccer players of all time
Top Football/Soccer Players
Please read this, it might answer some of your questions
First of all, in my opinion it is not really possible to compile objective lists of top players, given that sport is continuously improving over the time, and performance of champions from 20-30 years ago would be probably not enough for third division today. So when talking about “all-time top”, I consider players whose greatness has been justified by several decades already, and just about every football fan around the world still knows who they were. Also for this reason please do not search for Messi, C.Ronaldo, Kaka and other top players of today in the list. One day they might be all-time greats too, but time will decide. Just about the same applies for recently retired players, with a very few exceptions, about whom I (and most likely others as well) think that they will be certainly remembered by everyone many years from now. All in all you will find only 4 players out of the 25 whom were still active in the 1990s and 2 of those had their heydays mostly in the 1980s.
Compilation of football/soccer players
Hope you will enjoy this small compilation, at least as much as I enjoyed creating it. And do not take it too serious, it was made only for fun.
The music has been made by Jugi Kaartinen, a Finnish composer. The name of the track is Onward, and it was the music for the famous PC demo Dope by Complex, which won the annual The Gathering party back in 1995, and is still considered as one of the best demos ever made.
The logo in the lower right corner is that of PowerVideoMaker, a tool with which I have converted the original PowerPoint slideshow into video format to be able to upload it to youtube. Unfortunately I have only the freeware demo version of the software, which inserts the logo, but I was too lazy to search for an alternative solution. If you have any ideas for another converter, feel free to let me know, if I get good feedback for the video I might try to create another version.
